Men alleged to have trailed GEJ's convoy released from Police custody

Bayelsa state police command has released the 4 men accused of allegedly crashing into the convoy of Former President Goodluck Jonathan in Bayelsa earlier today. Police investigations indicated that the men wrongly joined GEJ's convoy thinking it was that of Timipre Sylva who they were on the road campaigning with ahead of Saturday's guber election in Bayelsa. They were released after investigations showed the allegations made against them were unfounded.

EFCC arrests former minister of state for Finance during GEJ's administration

A former Minister of state under former President Jonathan's administration, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda, has been arrested and is being interrogated by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of receiving money running into Billions of Naira which he cannot account for while he was in office. The large sums of money were allegedly transferred to him between December 2014 and May 2015. A source at EFCC said the former Minister who was picked up by 4pm today, is being interrogated for allegedly receiving some huge amount of money from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki, who is being investigated over a two billion dollars arms deal. The source said some of the monies allegedly traced to Bashir's account include N1.2 billion Naira paid to him by the office of the NSA through a company and for unclear reasons. Kylie Jenner breaks the internet with lipstick range

Move over Kim. Kylie Jenner unveiled her lipstick range and it sold out within minutes. Eager fans desperate to replicate her pout flocked to the site, LipKitByKylie.com in order to get their hands on the $29 Lip Kit and the rush resulted in her website crashing. Many were met with an Error message or told their carts were empty despite having added the item.  Fans took to Twitter to complain about her site being down, prompting Kylie to respond: 'Nobody be upset! There's so many people trying to buy at once so there are some tech issues.' She added in a subsequent tweet: 'Everybody stand by and keep trying! We r [sic] working on it.'  But Kylie's tweets did little to quell her fans, who were eager to buy the Lip Kit that was two years in the making.  'I typed my credit card info and it kept saying error, stupid because the items where in my cart too... so annoyed tbh,' said one user, who went on to complain about Kylie's lack of apology for the site...

No going back on Kogi run-off — INEC

The commission’s Deputy Director of Voters Education and Publicity, Mr. Nick Dazang in an interview with Punch in Abuja on Saturday said that The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has maintained that the planned Kogi State governorship supplementary election scheduled for December 5 will take place. He said: “We are prepared for the election and we are not thinking of either postponing it or cancelling it. In fact, we have prepared a supplementary budget for the election. “The budget is for the conduct of the election and it will cover expenses such as accommodation, allowance and other logistics for the election.” He said the budget has already been submitted to the commission’s chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.
